Miami, Jan 28 (EFE).- A total of 28 Spanish media companies, double the number that attended last year, are on hand for the NATPE fair in Miami to sell some of their formats, or television products, that have already done well in Spain.

“Pulseras Rojas” (Filmax Internacional) is also presenting itself as the great novelty of the season. In fact, the series by Alberto Espinosa has reached an agreement with the U.S. FOX network to produce a pilot under the auspices of ABC Studios and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV.

“There’s a lot of crime going on, unfortunately,” Bustos said. “(The police) are short-staffed and underpaid and I understand there’s more than just (one) burglary. But I just felt maybe there was a lack of compassion. Just kind of like, ‘Too bad you got broken into.’”

Councilor Peggy Martinez said she could remember a time when there were 40 police officers on the force compared to the 22 that are currently employed by the city. Since then, she said, the community lost its sense of public safety and drugs became more pervasive.
